Swami Bhimanand Was NOT A Sathya Sai Baba Devotee

Swami Bhimanand Was NOT A Sathya Sai Baba Devotee

Shiv Murat Dwivedi (alias “Ichchadhari Sant Swami Bhimanandji Maharaj Chitrakootwale” alias “Rajiv Ranjan Dwivedi” alias “Karan Kumar Dwivedi”) received world-wide attention for a sex scandal racket in India that has been widely broadcast through international television, newspapers, magazines, online news sites and YouTube. The “fraud Godman” Dwivedi was accused of being a prostitution ring leader who used the name, form and fame of Shirdi Sai Baba to bolster his pseudo-guru reputation.

Although numerous media broadcasts correctly stated that Shiv Murat Dwivedi claimed to be a devotee of Shirdi Sai Baba, some unscrupulous journalists and writers have erroneously and falsely published that Shiv Murat Dwivedi was a devotee of Sathya Sai Baba. Shiv Murat Dwivedi was NOT a devotee of Sathya Sai Baba, nor did Shiv Murat Dwivedi ever claim to be a devotee of Sathya Sai Baba.

The following two articles are sleazy media publications that falsely claimed that Shiva Murat Dwivedi was a devotee of Sathya Sai Baba:

Parikshit Luthra – CNN-IBN Sleaze Journalist Falsely Claimed Shiv Murat Dwivedi Was A Devotee Of Sathya Sai Baba

Sleazy godman under police net worth Rs 500 cr
Parikshit Luthra / CNN-IBN

Delhi: The latest godman in the Delhi police net, Swami Bhimanand, is worth almost Rs 500 crore and used to cater to high end clients.

The long, divine sounding name Ichchadhari Sant Bhimanand Ji Maharaj could not even save the godman from the long arm of the law.

Swami Bhimanand professed to be a devotee of Satya Sai Baba and among his thousands of followers boasted prominent politicians and bureaucrats. But on the side, he was running a sex racket for 10 years which the Delhi police busted last week.

“We will be booking him under MCOCA as his past has all the necessary ingredients,” said Delhi Police Commissioner HGS Dhaliwal.

The 39-year-old Swamin Bhimanand, whose real name is Shreemurath Dwivedi, started work in Delhi as a security guard in 1988. In 1997 he was arrested for managing a prostitution ring. When he got out of jail, he took up religion simply as a front to his sleazy dealings.

He used to supply women, including air hostesses, to high end clients all across Delhi and used to earn approximately Rs 2.5 lakh everyday.

When produced in court on Wednestday, the godman of course denied all these charges.

“I have been framed. All allegations against me are false,” the swami said.

But police have recovered five diaries from him which have the names, phone numbers and even rates of certain prostitutes.

Sources say Swami Bhimanand had a very wide network of pimps and prostitutes and was worth more than Rs 300 crore. The police now wants to take him on remand to know more about his dealings and also about the politicians whose patronage he always enjoyed.

Neal Ungerleider – Shabby Researcher Who Cannot Get His Facts Right About Shiv Murat Dwivedi & Sathya Sai Baba

Hindu ‘God-Man’ in British Airways prostitution scandal
Neal Ungerleider

A Hindu clergyman and self-styled “god-man” with over 100,000 reputed followers in India has been caught running a US$10 million high-end prostitution racket involving British Airways hostesses.

Shiv Myra Dwivedi, aka Ichchadhari Sant Swami Bhimanand Ji Maharaj Chitrakoot Wale, 39, claims to be a follower of the legendary Sathya Sai Baba. Dwivedi was allgedly using his Sai Baba Temple in Khanpur, South Delhi as a front for an operation that employed somewhere between 60 and 200 prostitutes across India. Also found inside Dwivedi’s temple were drug and pornography caches on an epic scale. Adding to the fun, it appears that phone records found inside the temple link the prostitution operation to prominent Delhi cops, Indian television stars and politicians.

The Indian press is already calling Dwivedi the “pimp guru.”

The operation of the “pimp guru” employed mainly students and air hostesses, including British Airways and Jagson employees. Dwivedi was arrested over the weekend by Delhi police while conducting a deal with another (alleged) pimp behind a cinema in the city’s Saket neighborhood. A police team sent to raid Dwivedi’s temple subsequently found a labyrinth of hidden tunnels and rooms that contained personal diaries, cash, financial records for the operation and healthy supplies of pornography and undisclosed illegal drugs. According to Delhi authorities, the Swami hid the entrance to the secret tunnels in a meditation room.

The “pimp guru” also runs a 200-bed hospital and has several power political patrons in the Samajwadi Party and reportedly has several well-known politicians among his clients.

But for all of Dwivedi’s religious trappings, his pimp skills seem defiantly old-school:

“He used the guise of spirituality to run an organised prostitution racket since 1999 and has made billions of rupees by supplying women to his high-profile clients,” said a police officer, refusing to be named.

“He would force young women to join the sex racket, offered them money, expensive gifts and had even provided them with cars.”

Apart from the Delhi temple, the prostitution operation also rented out of several rented houses in Delhi and in the state of Uttar Pradesh. According to Indian sources, his non-Indian prostitutes would dress only in saffron clothes in public to avoid suspicion.

Dwivedi, a native of Uttar Pradesh, worked his way up from a security guard at a massage parlor in the 1990s to become a prominent guru. But he had trouble along the way: Dwivedi was previously arrested in 2000 for running a prostitution ring centered around yoga and meditation workshops.Strangest of all, reports indicate that Dwivedi’s father and brother were previously arrested on unrelated murder allegations in his hometown of Chitrakoot.

British Airways is investigating the allegations.

Needless to say, there are several YouTube videos that provide actual footage of Shiv Murat Dwivedi posing in front of pictures of Shirdi Sai Baba, NOT Sathya Sai Baba. See for yourself:

In the following YouTube video, one can see Shiva Murat Dwivedi performing his “snake dance” in front of a Shirdi Sai Baba picture. The news broadcast also stated that the fraud Godman Shiv Murat Dwivedi pretended to be a devotee of the Sai Baba of Shirdi. Dwivedi also sold CDs and DVDs of himself in direct association with Shirdi Sai Baba.

Swami Bhimanand YouTube Video One

The following YouTube video shows the sex-scandal-imbroiled Shiva Murat Dwivedi doing his “snake dance” in front of a picture of Shirdi Sai Baba. The YouTube video exposes the Fraud Godman’s sex racket & sex scandal.

Swami Bhimanand YouTube Video Two

When news broadcasts stated that Shiva Murat Dwivedi claimed to be a devotee of Shirdi Sai Baba, people dismissed Dwivedi as a fraud with no suspicions of impropriety against Shirdi Sai Baba. However, when news broadcasts incorrectly and falsely stated that Shiva Murat Dwivedi claimed to be a devotee of Sathya Sai Baba, people suggested and implied impropriety against Sathya Sai Baba!

Robert Priddy's Queer Obsession With Allegations Of A Sexual Nature

Robert Priddy’s Queer Obsession With Allegations Of A Sexual Nature

Homoerotic Fantasizer Robert Priddy (a caustic critic and defamer of Sathya Sai Baba and others) constantly immerses himself in allegations of sexual abuse (almost on a daily basis as evidenced on his Anti-Baba blogs and websites) like a sexual deviant who has nothing better to do with his time.

Robert Priddy is so thoroughly obsessed with allegations of sexual molestation, he intensely meditates and visualizes those acts with such intensity, he actually falsified sexual molestation accusations against Gerald Joe Moreno. If Robert Priddy has the audacity to fabricate sexual abuse allegations against Gerald Joe Moreno, what other sexual molestation accusations are he falsifying as well?

Robert Priddy never (ever) witnessed a single incident of alleged abuse by Sathya Sai Baba. Nor was Robert Priddy ever sexually abused by Sathya Sai Baba. Therefore, why does Robert Priddy appoint himself as a proxy defender of alleged victims? Are alleged victims incompetent? Are alleged victim’s mothers and fathers incompetent as well? Not even one alleged victim and not even one alleged victim’s mother or father has even tried to file a basic police complaint or court case against Sathya Sai Baba in India. Why then is Robert Priddy making such a fuss if not to delude, deceive and mislead? Robert Priddy’s prurient, queer and fetish-like obsession with allegations of sexual abuse should raise a red flag about his character.

Even more disturbing is how Robert Priddy claimed to possess telepathy without the aid of LSD and claimed to possess telepathy with the aid of LSD! This is the same man who wants us to believe his hateful and bitter accusations against Sathya Sai Baba!

Needless to say, LSD advocate Robert Priddy has a long and established history of distortions, lies, defamations and libels.

Of course, none of these things are surprising considering that Robert Priddy is an LSD Advocate who is thoroughly obsessed with genital oilings and who relishes projecting his homoerotic fantasies onto Moreno. Robert Priddy is allied with Bisexual & Psychic Trance Medium Conny Larsson and Child Porn Purveyor RFJ Sandt and Perverted Fetishist Sanjay Dadlani. Robert Priddy is also a staunch promoter of New Age Advocate & Reincarnator Alan Kazlev and Guru & UFO Promoter Timothy Conway (who actually believes that Sathya Sai Baba may have molested alleged victims like aliens are alleged to do through abductions!).

The only people guilty of running “massive disinformation and cover-up campaigns” are Robert Priddy and Ex-Devotees who have attacked hundreds of Sai Devotees & Non-Devotees alike and who have created hundreds of webpages to defame, libel and smear Gerald Joe Moreno. What more can one do but laugh at loud at Robert Priddy and his hypocritical finger-pointing?

Robert Priddy And The Amateur Agnostic Nitwit Nastik

Robert Priddy And The Amateur Agnostic Nitwit Nastik

In the never-ending hypocrisy that altogether exemplifies the Anti-Sai movement, Robert Priddy and an anonymous person using the name “Nitwit Nastik” (or “NitwitNastik”) have joined forces in a crusade for rationality, skepticism, science, agnosticism and Anti-Sai activism!

First Things First: Defining “Nitwit Nastik”:

Nitwit: Noun: A stupid or silly person. (Reference)
Nastik: Can refer to “Nastika”, Indian philosophical schools and persons that do not accept the authority of the Vedas as supreme. “Nastika” is often translated as “atheist”. (Reference)

Consequently, “Nitwit Nastik” literally means “a stupid or silly atheist”. How apropos! NitwitNastik defines himself as an “amateur agnostic”, belongs to an online group of Indian Atheists, is entirely anonymous, has a rather queer propensity to slur and malign people belonging to the faith of Islam, is an admirer of the defamer and conspiracy theorist Robert Priddy and is an admirer of the foul-mouthed George Carlin (Ref).

Nitwit Nastik’s Anonymous Status Called Into Question:

Robert Priddy viciously attacked Pro-Sai activists when they desired to maintain anonymity and called them (Ref):

  • “cowardly creatures hiding under a stone”
  • “cowardly and cheap slanderers”
  • “chicken-livered”
  • “below contempt for the whole world of decent people out here”

It is “pitiful” that Nitwit Nastik cannot live up to Robert Priddy’s standards and does not have “the courage to stand forth like a man” and divulge his true identity.

This is yet another perfect example of Robert Priddy’s laughable hypocrisy in which he demands full names from Pro-Sai Activists, yet makes no demands for full names from Anti-Sai Activists. Robert Priddy was also caught posting anonymously on QuickTopic using the names “bandbox” and “Lisa demoniser” (Ref). Robert Priddy is a brazen deceiver and an obvious phony who can’t back up his precept with practice.

Nitwit Nastik And True Believer Robert Priddy:

Nitwitnastik exclusively references links to atheistic and skeptical material on his wordpress blog. Amusingly, Nitwit Nastik also linked to Robert Priddy’s Anti-Sai-Baba blog because he apparently was duped into thinking that Robert Priddy is actually a skeptic who promotes scientific thought! Well, Nitwit Nastik is in for a rude awakening.

Although Robert Priddy attempts to con the general public into thinking he is entirely given to scientific reasoning, he is actually a true believer and a fierce defender, promoter, endorser, solicitor and friend of various self-professed psychics, trance mediums, reiki healers, guru wannabees, superstitionists, eccentric spiritualists, astrologers (including his own son, Kai Nicolai Priddy, who is heavily into astrology and is the webmaster for AbacusAstrology.co.uk) and other “lunatic fringe” Baba bashers.

Robert Priddy promotes, endorses and/or professes friendship with:

  1. Trance Channeler & Self-Proclaimed Prophet Conny Larsson
  2. Guru Promoter, UFO Conspiracist & True Believer PhD Timothy Conway
  3. New Age Advocate & Reincarnator Alan Kazlev
  4. Self-Proclaimed Spiritual Master ‘Ramana Baba’
  5. Ramtha Devotee Ullrich Zimmermann
  6. Fetishist & Hare Krsna Congregational Member Sanjay Dadlani
  7. Reiki Master And Spiritual Healer Yaman Konuralp

As a matter of fact, when Robert Priddy attempts to defend himself against Joe Moreno (a Pro-Sai Activist) he directs his readers to either:

  1. Psychic Trance Medium Conny Larsson’s website (located at saibabaexpose.com)
  2. Reincarnator, New Age Advocate and Grungy Integral Philosopher Alan Kazlev’s website (located at kheper.net)

How’s that for “scientific” or “rational”? Robert Priddy is obviously a very gullible and naive “true believer” who is willing to give credence to non-scientific beliefs by claiming that trance mediums, self-proclaimed prophets, aura readers, seance conductors, New Age advocates, guru adherents, self-proclaimed reincarnators and the like are intelligent, honest, credible and reliable individuals worthy of being referenced by him (a so-called “scholar” and “academic” not given to lunatic fringe or superstitious beliefs)! To Date: Robert Priddy adamantly refuses to say one word about his promotion and endorsement of these “lunatic fringe” (Priddy’s favorite slur) individuals.

Robert Priddy was also a promoter of LSD and eulogized his own LSD-induced hallucinations for well over 30+ years! See:

  1. Robert Priddy’s Removal Of Biographical Data From Personal Website
  2. Robert Priddy’s Biographical Suppression
  3. Robert Priddy’s “The Psychedelic Experience” (or Archive 01)
  4. Robert Priddy’s “Truth, Being And Bliss” (or Archive 01)
  5. Robert Priddy’s “A Vision Of Cosmic Energy” (or Archive 01)
  6. Robert Priddy’s 30+ Year Glorification Of LSD

And to top it all off, Robert Priddy believes (even to this day, after his defection) that Sathya Sai Baba possesses genuine paranormal powers.

Robert Priddy: “Nonetheless, it will surely surprise some that I am still almost certain – on the basis of extended personal observation – that Sathya Sai Baba can and does carry out apports, which therefore can appear as materialisations from nothing.”

Apports are said to be physical objects in existence that are dematerialized from one location and rematerialized to another.

Robert Priddy: “Some of what I experienced of SSB’s extraordinary and positive powers through many years is undeniable, even after the most rigorous skeptical investigations, and I do not regard him as any ordinary human being. I have simply had to realize that his actions in the worldly and human sphere are not infallible and are not always setting a perfect example for others.”

Robert Priddy believes that Sathya Sai Baba possesses genuine paranormal powers because the Guru cured him of a debilitating and chronic neck and spinal problem that no one else could cure and whose symptoms no doctor could alleviate. Robert Priddy claimed that Sathya Sai Baba cured him through a series of “dream-operations” that resulted in a literal and physical transformation of his spine, which was supported by x-rays and the testimony of Mr. Kylie (“an osteopath and master of various other disciplines”).

Robert Priddy also claimed that Sathya Sai Baba freed his mother from chronic pain and that a small speck of Sathya Sai Baba’s vibuthi instantaneously cured his paralyzed cat when it suffered from what appeared to be a stroke.

Robert Priddy tries to make the case that Sathya Sai Baba:

  • Is both a fraud and genuine.
  • Both can materialize objects and fakes materializations.
  • Both can cure diseases but really can’t cure diseases.

Trying to pass himself off as an intellectual who currently holds rationalistic beliefs, Robert Priddy miserably fails to explain away the enigma of Sathya Sai Baba. Instead, Robert Priddy appears very confused, conflicted and non-intelligent and ends up sticking his foot further into his mouth with his never-ending and very amusing equivocations.

Consequently, NitwitNastik is promoting superstition and lunatic fringe beliefs by holding hands and associating himself with true believer Robert Priddy. Of course, I submitted a comment to NitWitNastik’s blog revealing these facts but he did not publish it and instead chose to protect Robert Priddy.

How ironic: Robert Priddy protected and promoted by an “amateur” and a nitwit! A double whammy.

Refuting The Allegations Against Sathya Sai Baba With Factual Information

Refuting The Allegations Against Sathya Sai Baba With Factual Information:
Many people have not properly educated themselves regarding the facts pertaining to the Sathya Sai Baba Controversy and the alleged ‘Sai Baba Sex Scandal’. This article was created out of the necessity to provide the general public with factual and verifiable information about the many online smear & hate campaigns waged against Sathya Sai Baba by Ex-Devotees.

Wordpress Blogs Used As A Tool For Anti-Sai Propaganda:
Robert Priddy, Barry Pittard, RFJ Sandt, Sanjay Dadlani and Brian Steel have resorted to obsessive, repetitive and almost daily smear campaigns against Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, Sai Devotees and Sai Proponents through hundreds of webpages, websites, forums, blogs, free-press-release websites and their own Wordpress blogs (Ref):

These Wordpress blogs contain articles and links that defame, ridicule and libel Sathya Sai Baba, Sai Devotees and Sai Proponents in the most vile, derogatory and malicious ways. Even Netscape and Digg banned Robert Priddy, Barry Pittard, Brian Steel and various other Ex-Devotees for their spam-like solicitation of Priddy & Pittard’s defamatory Wordpress blogs (Refs: 01020304). It is also important to know that Priddy, Pittard, van der Sandt, Dadlani and Steel were never sexually abused and never witnessed an incident of alleged abuse.

It is also a fact that Barry Pittard was threatened with legal action by Ramanathan and Robert Priddy was threatened with a million dollar legal claim for defamation by Leo Rebello (Ref). Anti-Sai Activists were threatened with a highly secretive legal suit (whose particulars they refuse to divulge) that forced them to put disclaimers on their Anti-Sai websites that state the information they provide against Sri Sathya Sai Baba may NOT be true, accurate or valid (Ref)! Robert Priddy was legally challenged and lost his saibaba.org.uk domain, which fraudulently attempted to impersonate an Official Sathya Sai Organisation domain in the UK.

Countering The Allegations With Factual Information:
Many Sai Devotees do not believe the allegations against Sathya Sai Baba based on rational, reasonable, intellectual, factual and common sense observations. No need to resort to “divinity” claims or “true believer” claims. Some of these rational, reasonable, intellectual, factual and common-sense observations are:

  • Alleged victims have never (ever) filed a basic police complaint against Sathya Sai Baba in India for alleged improprieties (Ref).
  • Alleged victims have never (ever) filed a court case against Sathya Sai Baba in India for alleged improprieties (Ref).
  • Sathya Sai Baba has never (ever) been formally charged with any crime, sexual or otherwise (Ref).
  • Alleged victim’s contradictory stories, questionable claims, revealing personal comments and internet behavior strongly argue that they are not credible (Refs: 0102).
  • Although it is claimed that alleged victims filed “affidavits” and were willing to testify in a court of law in India against Sai Baba (Ref), they have never been able to obtain the representation of a lawyer despite:
    • The lucrative prospect of a successful suit (critics allege that Sathya Sai Baba’s “empire” is worth over a billion dollars).
    • The offer of free “world-class legal resources” from Ex-Devotees (Ref).
    • Ex-Devotees constant claims that they are in correspondence with “international lawyers” and “top lawyers” from three countries.
    • The opportunity (whether the lawsuit is successful or not) to present to the world the alleged “evidence” they claim they possess (but are withholding for reasons of secrecy and confidentiality).
    • The vast publicity a lawsuit against Sathya Sai Baba would generate to their cause.
  • Ex-Devotees have alleged that “hundreds” to “thousands” of “minors”, “children” and “male youth” have been molested by Sathya Sai Baba. Needless to say, all of the alleged victims (including their mothers and fathers) have all (without exception) failed in their legal duty of “mandated reporting” and are thereby (using critic’s arguments) “accomplices in sexual molestation crimes”. When no one (including mothers, fathers and/or relatives) has filed a basic police complaint, public grievance or court case against Sathya Sai Baba in India for the alleged molestations of “children”, why should Sai Devotees make complaints or launch investigations based on internet rumors spread by people who have proven themselves (time and again) to be pathological prevaricators? These indisputable facts strongly solidify the argument that Sathya Sai Baba never molested children (Ref).
  • Several alleged victims dubiously claimed that Sathya Sai Baba literally and miraculously transformed his penis into a vagina (and vice-versa) by snapping his fingers, clapping his hands or blowing on his fingertips (Ref).
  • Alleged victim’s stories and accounts are mostly repeated, clarified, explained, changed, furthered and argued by non-victims who were never abused themselves and who never witnessed an incident of alleged abuse themselves. Even going back to 2001, Anti-Sai sympathizers rightly questioned the hearsay allegations against Sai Baba (Ref).
  • Some of the most vocal voices in the Anti-Sai Movement (i.e., Robert Priddy, Barry Pittard, Sanjay Dadlani, Tony O’Clery, Conny Larsson and R.F.J. Sandt) have obsessively resorted to deceit, gutter tactics, defamations, blatant misrepresentation of facts, hostility and outright prevarication. This type of shocking and very disturbing behavior has effectively negated critic’s self-professed and alleged credibility.
  • The Anti-Sai Movement is an extremist hate group that continually attempts to incite anger, hatred and malice against Sathya Sai Baba. Barry Pittard (one of the main spokespersons for the Anti-Sai movement) attempted to incite Islamic Terrorists to slaughter Jews and foreigners at Sathya Sai Baba’s ashrams in Puttaparthi and Whitefield (Ref). Ex-Devotees (particulary Barry Pittard, Reinier Van Der Sandt, Barbara Dent and Tal Brooke) have openly boasted about their attempts (and successes) to polarize Christians against Sathya Sai Baba (Ref). The anonymous SaiBaba-Invigilator blog speciously claimed that Sathya Sai Baba promotes “Tantric Corpse Eating” (Ref). Sanjay Dadlani (under the pseudonym “kick his head in”) said that someone should murder Sathya Sai Baba (Ref) and even rejoiced when a Sai Baba temple was bombed by a terrorist (Refs: 0102). Kevin Shepherd (a critic who has never seen and was never devoted to Sai Baba) spuriously alleged that Sathya Sai Baba is allied with terrorists. The rationalist Indian Skeptic magazine published a fake picture of Sathya Sai Baba holding hands with Idi Amin and attempted to pass it off as an original picture (Ref). Basava Premanand claimed that the “Sathya Sai Baba Gang” murdered over a hundred people, including Mr. Venkatamuni (since proven a bold-faced lie). These are just a few examples (out of scores) that reveal the true modus operandi of critics and ex-devotees that wholly negates their so-called “credibility” and “integrity”.
  • Several critics of Sai Baba (i.e., Robert Priddy, Sanjay Dadlani, Tony O’Clery, UsedByBaba, Barbara Dent and R.F.J. Sandt) have used numerous incognito internet names, attempting to pass themselves off as various individuals, including Pro-Sai activists. This type of fully documented and very disturbing online behavior (Refs: 0102) strongly argues that many of the allegations against Sai Baba may be entirely fabricated by mentally unsound people whose primary goal is to deceive.
  • Critics have ridiculously asserted (with no proof whatsoever) that Sathya Sai Baba is a “pedophile” who runs elite pedophile and human trafficking rings by shipping Negros to India from New York’s ghettos for sexual purposes (Ref). Despite these absurd and outlandish allegations, Sathya Sai Baba and the Sai Organization have never (ever) been charged or implicated with any pedophile rings or people trafficking rings (either directly, indirectly or otherwise). Nor have any reputable media agencies or independent journalists been able to confirm even one single instance of alleged pedophilia and/or human trafficking related to Sai Baba or the Sai Organisation.
  • The widely dispersed core allegations against Sathya Sai Baba can be directly traced to Conny Larsson, a vocal critic and founding member to the Anti-Sai Movement. Shortly after his defection from Sathya Sai Baba in 1999, Conny Larsson developed from a vocal ex-devotee to an “internationally renowned” self-proclaimed prophet and psychic trance medium for the spirit of Maharshi Vyasa. During Conny Larsson’s metamorphosis into a psychic channeler and spirit medium, Ex-Devotees have purposely suppressed and avoided any and all discussion about Conny Larsson’s psychic claims and obviously fear the repercussions that one of the founding members to the Anti-Sai Movement would be perceived to be a loon, charlatan and possible schizophrenic (as Conny self-disclosed his psychiatric diagnosis made by a psychiatrist of him being “psychoinfantile”, which is also known as Histrionic Personality Disorder). Moreno has argued that Conny Larsson’s self-disclosed history of his life-time involvement with psychiatrists, psychotherapists and deprogrammers might explain why he now claims to hear “spirit voices” in his head and claims to see and communicate with dead people and dead animals (Ref).
  • The widely dispersed core allegations against Sathya Sai Baba can be directly traced to Tal Brooke, a fundamentalist and evangelical Christian who believes that all Gurus are in a state of perfect demon possession and that all Eastern Philosophies, New Age Beliefs and Hindu Beliefs are evil paths leading to Satan. What does this say about the integrity and objectivity of Tal Brooke’s claims against Sathya Sai Baba? 99% of the allegations against Sai Baba are linked (in one way or another) to Tal Brooke and his religiously-fueled propaganda, which he solicits to this day with expensive Google advertisements soliciting his Anti-Baba book.
  • Former Followers have a nasty habit of sexualizing everything pertaining to Sathya Sai Baba and Sai Proponents. This deviant and perverse sexualization of Sai Baba is a highly prevalent tactic employed by former followers (Ref), even with absurd claims that Sai Baba is engaging in questionable sexual acts in full view of thousands of devotees while being recorded on video. For example, see the edited Ex-Baba movie clip entitled Sai Baba Groin (approximately 950kb, wmv file). Robert Priddy (one of the main spokespersons for the Anti-Sai movement) attempted to portray Sathya Sai Baba as a homosexual and transvestite (Ref). Ex-Devotees have also maliciously accused Joe Moreno of being sexually abused by Sathya Sai Baba despite his many repeated clarifications to the contrary (Ref). Robert Priddy has openly falsified sexual molestation claims against Moreno (Refs: 01020304). Moreno has also been targeted by critics and hundreds of webpages have been created to defame and libel him (Ref). This type of blatant dishonesty strongly suggests that critics are not as truthful, sincere or compassionate as they claim to be.

The Secret Agenda Of The ‘Secret Swami’:
Alaya Rahm, one of the prime ‘witnesses’ who alleged sexual impropriety against Sai Baba, self-dismissed his bogus lawsuits against Sathya Sai Baba, Dr. Michael Goldstein and the American Sathya Sai Baba Society (Ref) on the advice of his lawyer and after a damaging video-taped deposition was obtained from Lewis Kreydick (a ‘witness’ cited by Alaya Rahm himself). Joe Moreno (a Pro-Sai Activist) provided a scanned index to all relevant court records on his Pro-Sai website, saisathyasai.com.

In “Response To Form Interrogatories” in Alaya Rahm’s self-dismissed lawsuit against the Sathya Sai Baba Society (Form Interrogatory No. 6.3, Set One) Alaya Rahm fully admitted that he had been a daily user of illegal street drugs and alcohol from 1995 – 2005. Consequently, during Alaya Rahm’s “Divine Downfall” and India Today Anti-Sai interviews and during the filming of the BBC Documentary “Secret Swami” and the “Seduced By Sai Baba” Danish Documentary, Alaya Rahm was under the influence of illegal street drugs and alcohol while relating his alleged sexual encounters with Sathya Sai Baba. This crucial information wholly undermines Alaya Rahm’s credibility and irreparably compromises the integrity of his claims. Needless to say, Alaya Rahm’s alcoholism and drug addiction have been purposely suppressed from the general public by Anti-Sai Activists, the Rahm Family and the media (Ref).

Critic’s responded to Alaya Rahm’s failed lawsuit by wholly misrepresenting the facts (Ref) and heavily cited an alleged and secretive letter written by Attorney William Brelsford (Alaya Rahm’s pro-bono lawyer). Then critics flip-flopped and accused Attorney William Brelsford of incompetence (Ref) even though they adamantly refuse to remove his “seriously deficient” comments from their Anti-Sai websites.

These are verifiable facts about the Sai Baba Debate & Online Controversy and despite the alleged ‘Sai Baba Sex Scandal’, the absurd allegations of ‘Elite Pedophile Rings’, the absurd allegations of ‘Human Trafficking Rings’, claims of ‘Murder’, claims of ‘International Racketeering’, claims of being affiliated with ‘Terrorists’ and ‘Terrorism’, accusations of bribery, allegations of ‘Serial Sexual Abuse’, claims of fraud, fakery and deceit, etc. (the list of gutter accusations goes on and on), Sathya Sai Baba and the Sai Organization have never (ever) been charged with any crime.

Ex-Devotees and critics are desperate to smear Sathya Sai Baba and their numerous libels, defamations and shocking online behavior are recorded on the internet as testaments to this fact.

Warner Bros Arranges A Strange Trip

Warner Bros Arranges A Strange Trip

There is no trace of impossibility in the world of Baba!

Indra Devi, an ardent devotee of Sri Sathya Sai Baba taught Yoga in Canada. It is said that she witnessed numerous miracles of Sathya saibaba in her life.

Once Indra Devi had not planned to attend the birthday of Baba as she was due to visit the country later. After her meditation session one evening, she looked at Baba’s picture and wished, “Bhagavan take me to Puttaparthi for your birthday”.

Two years later, the devotee received a phone call from a young man who used to frequent the Sai Baba Centre in Los Angeles, called Chuk Wein. Chuk Wein said that he was calling from the Warner Brothers Motion Picture Studio and asked if she would go to India the very next day to seek Sai’s permission to make a documentary picture of His life! He also added that Warner Bros will bear the cost for her travel.

Indra Devi started for India after two days. She learnt from the manager of Air India, Los Angeles that the “Warner Bros” had paid for her tickets. She arrived just when the celebrations of Baba’s birthday had commenced, early morning when Bhagavan hoisted the Prashanthi Nilayam flag and delivered His birthday message.

Sathya Sai Baba declared that He was an incarnation of ‘Shiva Sakti’ in order to guide men towards God. He stressed the necessity of a pure heart and the need to cleanse it in order to gain discrimination and love through grace. He said that He was born as ‘love’ in each and everyone and only the day when love is born in one can ever be His birthday!

Swami then proceeded from the temple to the auditorium in procession. Easwaramma, Sai’s mother garlanded Him and anointed His head with a flower dipped in fragrant oil. Sai Gita, the elephant headed the whole procession.

Indra Devi also had the good fortune of Sai to bless her just the day before her departure. When she was about to leave, Sai materialized a gold medallion of Goddess Lakshmi. Indra Devi pleaded that she did not want anything. But Sai pressed her to accept it saying that it was for the protection of her house, “This is not for you… for the protection of the house – no more fires”.

Little was the devotee aware of the difficulty that was about to befall if not for the divine protection of Sai, as she was about to loose her ranch.

Having returned from India, the blessed devotee visited the Warner Bros Studio. Wonder of wonders not a soul ever knew Saibaba, leave alone her trip to India that they sponsored!

It was yet another Leela or the Divine play of Baba!

It is not My task to spread awe and wonder in the world, by My Power and draw men to Me thereby. I shall sustain Truth, and uproot Untruth. I shall render you happy and ecstatic, in the splendour of that triumph. This SAISWARUPAM is the SAKTHISWARUPAM which will achieve that triumph, and confer that Bliss.

Sathya Sai Baba – A Thought For The Day – January 25th 2010

Sathya Sai Baba – A Thought For The Day – January 25th 2010

Worship the Lord who lives in your heart, nearer to you than your thickest friend, your father, mother or preceptor. He is all of these and more to you. The physical body and the pleasures and comforts you crave for are all subject to damage and decay. One day or the other, it becomes food for dogs and jackals. The Lord, on the other hand, grants you bliss and joy forever. He cannot be won by scholarship, pompous vows or colorful rituals. Surrender your heart to Him. He desires nothing else from you.

Satyopanishad – Upanishad Of Sri Sathya Sai – Part 17

Sathya Sai Baba

Sathya Sai Baba

Satyopanishad – Upanishad Of Sri Sathya Sai – Part 17
Anil Kumar Kamaraju Questions Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba

Question) Anil Kumar: Swami! Are you pleased with our dhyana, meditation?

Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba: Do you call what you do every day meditation? No, you are not doing it properly. It may be anything but certainly not meditation. It is alright that you sit down to meditate. But your mind is in the market, you will be thinking of what you are going to eat for lunch. Or you will be thinking of your dhobi, when he will bring your ironed clothes. Is that meditation? Certainly not.

A small example. You are seated here waiting eagerly and anxiously for the arrival of Swami. Any sound of a door or a car will draw your attention as Swami might come any time. Your mind is fully concentrated on Swami and you begin to view everything in terms of Swami’s arrival. Do you not? On the other hand, if you are mentally engaged otherwise and not alert, even if Swami comes and stands in front of you, you will not notice him.

So, in meditation the most important thing is to have a full cent percent concentration on God. You should be fully alert, without any diversion of attention. So, an unwavering steadiness of mind.

Question) Anil Kumar: Swami, how many things should we study and learn in order to take to sadhana, spiritual path? How many details should we know from the sacred texts to start our sadhana?

Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba: Many things or details are not necessary. We see most people reading books. They listen to discourses for a number of years. But, what is the use? They remain where they have been in the spiritual path. What is the reason? It is lack of practice that has detained them, retarded their progress. In fact, you don’t have to read so many books. You don’t need to learn many things. If you clearly and thoroughly understand one thing, it is enough. If you practice one thing, that is enough. Why learn many and don’t practice even one? To commit suicide a small pin or a needle is enough. But to kill others you require a pistol or a revolver or a knife. Similarly, to teach others you need to learn and know many things for which you have to read a lot. But to work for one’s own liberation, redemption and emancipation it is enough if one thing is practiced sincerely. So, practising is more important than knowing and learning in life.

Question) Anil Kumar: Swami! We are indeed very fortunate to have been listening to you. We are in a blissful state. You alone can answer our questions like this, out of your infinite compassion for us. None can do that. Swami, pardon me for this question. It is now very clear to us what enquiry is. But why am I unable to do so? Why is my mind not steady? Is it the nature of the mind to waver? Is it the natural quality of the mind to remain unstable and unsteady that prevents me from concentration on enquiry?

Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba: You complain that your mind is unsteady and that you are not able to concentrate. This is not true. In fact, there is no mind as such. It is nothing but a bundle of desires. It is a bundle of thoughts. It is like apiece of cloth with yarn closely interwoven. When you separate the yarn or threads one after another, the cloth does not exist any more. So also, when the desires are gone and the thoughts withdrawn, the mind does not exist anymore. This is called amanaska, withdrawal of the mind, or manolaya annihilation of the mind.

You say that your mind wavers. This is also not quite true. You see a tree here. The leaves flutter. Why? It is the wind that makes the leaves of the tree flutter. But when there is no wind they do not move. So, the movement is due to the wind and not due to the quality of the leaves or the tree. The tree of life like leaves of the human mind flutters as the wind of desires blows.

You also say that you are not able to concentrate your mind. This is not true again. How are you riding your bicycle or driving your car without concentration? Is it not dangerous? Will it not lead to accidents? How could you concentrate in order to drive your car or ride your bicycle? As you read a book, a paper, or a draft, how are youable to concentrate? Without concentration, how could you grasp all that is mentioned in a book? In your profession are you not doing your job with full attention and concentration? Are you doing this with your mind engaged elsewhere or absent-minded? If you do so, don’t you spoil the work assigned to you? You would have been summarily dismissed from your service had you been doing your job without concentration. Are you not concentrating your mind on every activity of your daily life? Yes, you do it beyond doubt. But, concentration of mind becomes a very difficult task only in respect of God. Is it not a misfortune? The mind is stable and it concentrates easily and naturally. The loss of concentration with respect to God implies that you do not have as much love for and interest in Him as you have in worldly matters. Concentration, hence, depends on the degree of your interest. You can’t blame the mind. It is like a mirror. It only reflects what is kept in front of it. So I often lay stress on good and pure thoughts. As is the thought so is the mind. You know one who has manas (mind) is manisi, a human being. The most valuable thing in this world in your estimate is a diamond. But ‘diamond’ means ‘diemind’ or withdrawal of mind.

Question) Anil Kumar: Swami! Now we understand from your divine discourse and by your grace how important devotion is. But, faith is the base of devotion. How is one to cultivate faith, Swami?

Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba: What a foolish question you have asked! What do you mean by saying cultivating faith? Can you cultivate it? Is that a commodity to be purchased from a shop? It can neither be given nor received. Faith is your natural quality. In fact visvasa, faith is your svasa, breath. Without it there is a total stoppage of your breath.

Just think for a moment how you carry on your daily routine with or without faith. You will soon notice that your every action, both mundane and spiritual, is based only on faith. You give your clothes, costly shirts and safari suits to a washer man in full faith that he would bring them back after washing and ironing. If you suspect that he would run away with your clothes, will you give them to him? Most valuable gold is given to goldsmiths to make jewellery out of it in good faith that they would do so. Even if a trace of doubt arises in your mind, will you ever hand over valuable gold? You go to a barber for a haircut. Do you for a moment entertain the feeling that he would put his razor to your neck instead of your hair? You bend your head in good faith in front of the barber to cut your hair. So also in good faith, a patient will lie down on the operation table and allow himself to be operated upon by the surgeon. Do you doubt that your life is not safe in his hands? No. So be he a dhobi or a goldsmith or a barber or a doctor for that matter, all transactions are made in good faith. So faith is a natural gift of God to mankind. To be faithless is unnatural and artificial. But the pity of it is that you have full faith ineveryone but not in God. Isn’t that very unfortunate?

Devotion and faith are like the two eyes of a living being or the two wheels of a bicycle or the two wings of a bird. Without faith, as we say, even an ant can’t move an inch. A bird cannot fly high without faith. A bird perches on a branch. The branch may be drooping or swinging, yet the bird is not bothered. Why? It is because the bird has full faith in its wings on which it relies but not on the branch. So, everything depends on your faith.

How do you know your father? It is your mother who has the authority to show you your father and you have full faith in your mother. If not, there is no way to know your father. You know the dates and the days from a calendar and you go by what the calendar indicates. Otherwise, how do you know that today is Monday, the 14th of May? The day has not appeared in front of you with a sign board on the forehead indicating the day of the week and the date. You have full faith in all that you listen to from the All India Radio news bulletin and the various news columns that you go through in a newspaper. So much so, you believe what you hear on the radio, watch on the T.V., read in the newspapers, but you don’t believe our rsivakya or the sayings and teachings of our sages and saints of yore embodied in the Vedas and other holy scriptures. The Vedas are called isvariya, apauru seya, compositions of God. You don’t have faith in them. How strange and unfortunate it is! Think over it for sometime.

Question) Anil Kumar: Swami! Why are some people not devoted to God? Devotion, it seems, has no place in their lives. Would you kindly tell us the reason?

Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba: Very simple. It is only sensual pleasure that makes people disinclined towards God. Meaningless worry about the future, excessive desires, building castles in the air are a way of life with them. Ambition to reach heights they don’t deserve and too much attachment to the family and the world, all these are factors that make a man not devoted to God. There can be no other reason beyond these.

You know the seesaw on which children play. If one end goes up, the other end comes down, and vice versa. If the stress is laid on the world, your love of God will be less, and on the other hand, if your love of God is greater (heavy at one end as in the game) your attachment to the world becomes less (light at the another end as in the game). This is how the balance works. Isn’t it so? I will give you another example, that of a magnet. It draws iron filings towards it. But sometimes it doesn’t. Why? If the iron pieces are rusted and dusty, they are not drawn and attracted by the magnet. Likewise, people who are like iron pieces dusty and rusted by worldly desires are not drawn to God, the ‘Divine Magnet’. Is it clear now why some are not devoted to God?

Question) Anil Kumar: Swami! Kindly give a direction to our spiritual pursuit? How should it continue? Like the flow of a river? What are the restrictions to be observed?

Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba: ‘Nasreyo niyamam vina.’ Everything must have limits without which you will face risks and dangers. A river that flows under certain conditions with banks on either side serves irrigation purposes better. Similarly, the river of life has two banks, one on each side viz.:never doubt and by sincerity you develop wisdom. Your river of life should flow between these two banks. Your faith should not be shaken. It should never waver. Your faith should be strong and deep. No adverse situations and negative moments should make you lose your faith.

A life without faith is like a pot with holes. You know that we water only the roots of a plant. Yet, water is supplied to all parts of the plant. You do not water the stem, branches and leaves separately. Similarly, the water of faith, if supplied to the roots of your life, will take care of everything else related to life. The tree of life can sustain itself if the water of faith is supplied to its root. Without this, the plant dries up and is no longer alive. It becomes firewood. Once you doubt, all that you do will go in vain and nothing will be fruitful. No amount of scholarship or sadhana can help you if you allow doubt to step into your mind.

A small illustration. There was a pandit in a certain village. Daily a milk maid from the neighboring village used to bring him milk crossing a river by boat. In the process there was necessarily some delay in supplying milk to the pandit. One day the pandit questioned her and wanted to know the reason for the delay. She replied, “Oh Panditji! I have to cross the river by boat everyday to bring milk. I can only get into the second trip of the boat because the boatman will load in the first trip all the elders of the village. There is no alternative left for me. So, I am late.” Then the pandit said, “Look! Why do you need to come by boat? I suggest that you carry the milk pots over your head and cross the river chanting God’s name. The river will give way and you won’t need to wait for the boat.”

The milkmaid believed in what the pandit said and on the next day she could come on time and gave him the pot full of milk. Then on his enquiry, she told him that she could bring the milk on time by simply following his instructions. The pandit was very much astonished at this, and could not believe her words and decided to verify the fact himself. He said to her “Good! Now as you go back I shall follow you and see you as you cross the river chanting God’s name and how the river givesway for you to cross it.”

Both of them came near the river side. The milkmaid acted exactly according to the pandit’s instructions, viz. chanting the name of God. The pandit also wanted to act in the same way. He stepped forward and lifted his dhoti up to his knees so that his clothes would not be wet. He marched into the river step by step doubting if he would drown in the river. His doubt became true and he got drowned. Faith made the milkmaid walk across the river, while the pandit had no faith in his own words. Hence he drowned.

The bank on the other side of the river of life is sraddha, sincerity, steadfastness, that confers jnanam, wisdom. You will be sincere only if you love the work you do. You should have full faith and love to become sincere.

A student cannot pass the examinations if he has no faith that he can read, love the subject and study it sincerely. So, visvasa, prema and sraddha are the three steps that give you success in your attempts. A businessman or a lawyer or a doctor must be sincere, must have sraddha, in order to be successful in his profession.

So for jnana, you should be sincere and steadfast. What type of jnana should it be? It is not physical, material, secular or worldly knowledge. It is the practical knowledge, anubhavajnana that you get when you are sincere and steadfast. So these are the two banks on either side of the river of life, doubtlessness and sincerity or steadfastness. Samsaayatma vinasyati: the doubters perish, and srddhavan labhate jnanam: the sincere and faithful attain wisdom.

Question) Anil Kumar: Swami! Why and how do we get evil feelings such as jealousy, envy, pride, egoism, attachment and so on. How are we to get away from these evil feelings?

Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba: The main cause for all these evil feelings is your body attachment. These feelings are born in your mind. They depend on your interactions and relationships with others.

A small example. Suppose you have a very intimate friend with whom you agree on everything. By chance, if you toss a rose flower at him, he will be immensely happy for your love and reverence. As ill luck would have it, if you do not see eye to eye with each other due to some differences, and if you toss a rose at him, he will totally misunderstand you. He will think that it is a deliberate action on your part to harm him, for your friend is a sugar patient (diabetic) and as such if a thorn of the flower by chance pricks him, it may cause an injury that never heals and even further complicates leading to the amputation of his hand. See the difference. The two individuals are the same. So, also is the rose flower. But during the period of friendly terms, the act is viewed positively and in the unfriendly period the same actions are viewed negatively. You will now know that everything lies in the mind. The rose flower that gives happiness to your friend creates suspicion in the mind of the same person during the period of animosity.

Then, let me tell you about your next weakness, anger. Why should you and what for should you be angry with anyone? You tend to lose your energy due to anger. You become weak subsequently. The energy you have gained out of the food you have consumed during a couple of months is just lost by a single fit of your anger. Here, enquire into the matter clearly. What exactly makes you angry? If anyone criticises, reprimands, accuses, or blames you, naturally you are angry with that person. Calm down for a moment and investigate clearly. Why should you be angry with anyone who points out your mistakes or defects? Are you not guilty? Are you angry because your faults are pointed out? Why? So, you need not be angry if your faults are pointed out.

Suppose you are faultless and not guilty, even then there is no need for you to be angry. Because, it is only a false allegation. If anyone says that my head is bald, I am not angry with him because there is no truth in what he says, as I am not bald. If anyone comments that I have a mop of hair, even then I am not angry because the truth is said. So let them say that I am a battatala Baba (bald headed Baba) or buttatala Baba (mop of hair on the head of Baba) (batta and butta are Telugu words). I am not angry either way. If you think in this way you will not be angry and annoyed with anyone.

There is the worst form of disease for which there is no cure. It is envy or jealousy. Hatred ruined powerful kings like Hiranyaksha, Hiranyakasipu, Sisupala, Dantavaktra as mentioned in our epics like the Mahabhagavatham and the Mahabharata. Envy ruined the entire clan of Kauravas. Envy, pride, ego, jealousy and anger are demonic qualities. No one ever thinks of those with these evil tendencies. Have you met anyone by name Duryodhana who is the very personification of jealously in our epic Mahabharata? Have you met anyone by name Sisupala who is the embodiment of hatred in our scriptures? None. Why? It is a shame to be named so. There is then Mandhara a woman character in the Ramayana the very emblem of jealousy. She brought bad name even to queen Kaikeyi. She was responsible for sending Rama to the forest and Bharata’s reign. Have you come across women by name Mandhara and Kaikeyi? No. Never. Why? They represent evil traits that ruin anyone.

Never be egoistic. Egoism is another trait that will lead to disrepute. Examine yourself when you feel egoistic. Why ego? On what grounds should you be egoistic? In the entire world, India is of the size of an ant. There, in India your state of Andhra Pradesh is the size of an eye of the ant. Your Anantapur district is but a speck in the eye of the ant. Then, how about Puttaparthi and what are you and your standing in your family? Practically nothing. So don’t give any scope for ego and pride. Of course, if at all you want to be egoistic and proud, you can be egoistic about your ignorance and proud of your foolishness! Attachment and Self interest may make you egoistic on false grounds.

Attachment and feelings of “I and mine” are also not good in your own interest. The feelings of thine and mine arise out of abhimana and ahamkara. An example. Your neighbour has a daughter who was seriously ill for quite some time. You were not bothered or worried about her health. A year after her illness it so happened that you married her. Thereafter even a slight temperature or cold in her body makes you apply for casual leave and stay away from the office. Why? She is your wife and no longer the daughter of your neighbour. The difference is due to attachment only.

It is mamakara, feelings of mine that made Dhritarashtra, the old king of the Mahabharata support all the misdeeds of his sons and led to the total ruin of the entire clan. Though he had one hundred sons he was left with none even to perform his last rites. To this state one will be reduced due to the feelings of ‘I’ and ‘mine’.

When these traits find a place in you, repeat ten times “I am a man, not an animal”, “I am a man, not an animal” so that you can get rid of the animal qualities like ahamkara, ego, asuya, jealousy, irsya, envy, dvesa, hatred, abhimana, attachment, and mamakara, feelings of ‘I’ and ‘mine’.

Question) Swami? How wonderfully in simple terms and in such an easy way you have explained profound things. What is the way to immortality, the ultimate goal of life?

Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba: Very simple! Very easy! The only way to immortality is the removal of immorality.

Question) Anil Kumar: Swami! How long does sensual pleasure last?

Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba: Sensual pleasure is momentary and fleeting. It lands you in difficulties and makes you weak. Think well and understand clearly. You think that you are enjoying with your senses. Actually, it is not so. The senses are enjoying at your expense. At your cost the senses are having a nice time. How? You become weak. You lose your strength. You turn old. If you are right in thinking that you enjoy with your senses, you should have been quite active and enthusiastic. But in reality it is not so. You are negatively affected due to sensual pleasures. Therefore, know for sure that your senses enjoy you, making you sick, old and weak and not you enjoying with your senses.

Question) Anil Kumar: Swami! How are we to lead a detached life? We are hurt when our belongings, positions and wealth are withdrawn. Please tell us how not to be hurt though these are taken away from us.

Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba: You should always keep in view the purpose and the aim of your life. You should never give up your duties and responsibilities. You see, today’s newspaper is tomorrow’s waste paper. Be assured that past life will never return. You should always keep in mind three important points. Never feel that the world is permanent and that your relationships with all around you are lasting. No. The second thing is that you should not forget God under any circumstances. The third point to remember is not to fear death.

A District Collector has all the comforts and conveniences such as a big bungalow with a spacious compound, furniture, peons, etc. He has a very big office and personnel to provide assistance, but when he retires, he has to leave them all, though he lived till then with them as their sole proprietor and owner. Does he cry on the day of his retirement? Does he feel that he has lost anything personal? Similarly, servant maids, who take care of children at the residences of rich business magnates or high officials consider the children very close to them and even say “our boy”, “our child” and so on. But is it really so? Can they claim and own them at any point of time? Similarly, you see a cashier in the bank. He has with him lakhs and lakhs of rupees, which he disburses to different account holders according to the cheques presented. Does he feel sad at any time for parting with the money? Not even a single naya paisa belongs to him. The same is your relationship with the world you live in. Know the essence, saram (Telugu) and lead this life (family, samsaram Telugu). In fact, no one has anything to do with anything or anybody. You are alone at the time both of your birth and death. The rest that comes in between are like passing clouds.

“Would you settle down on a bridge
you cross from one end to another!
Would you like making a house,
of a boat plying from bank to bank!
Would you build a mansion
right in the middle of a highway!”

So, one must leave to one’s own self questions like: ‘Who am I?’ ‘Where do I come from?’ ‘Who is God?” ‘What is the purpose of life?’ Human life is gifted to you to find answers to these questions.

For example; a villager goes to a nearby town on some business. As he could not complete his work, he has to stay in a lodge to rest. The proprietor of the hotel or lodge he chooses to stay in will naturally put some questions to him before letting out a room to him. He will ask the villager to register his name and address. He has to answer questions such as “Where do you come from? How long would you stay?” If the answers run like this, “I do not know where I come from. I do not know how long I am going to be here. I do not know when I would quit this room”, or “I don’t know where I shall go from here!” The proprietor will say, “No room for you. This lodge is not for mad fellows like you!” Similar is your situation and position if you don’t know where you come from, how long you stay here and where you go from here. Do your duty thinking of God. That is enough, then, you will never suffer.

Upanishad means the “inner” or “mystic teaching”. The term Upanishad is derived from “upa” (near), “ni” (down) and “shad” (to sit), i.e., sitting down near. Groups of pupils sit near the teacher to learn from him/her the secret doctrine. In the quietude of the forest hermitages the Upanishadic thinkers pondered on the problems of deepest concerns and communicated their knowledge to fit pupils near them. The most well known Upanishads are: Aitareya, Brihadaranyaka, Taittiriya, Chandogya, Kena, Isa, Svetasvatara, Katha, Mundaka, Mandukya, Prasna, Kausitaki, Maitrayani, Muktika and Shakta. The Satyopanishad is the Upanishad of Truth (Sathya) but more specifically the Truth as revealed by Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. Anil Kumar questions the illustrious Guru and provides us with Sathya Sai Baba’s answers to ponder, ruminate and derive ananda.

Sathya Sai Baba – A Thought For The Day – January 20th 2010

Sathya Sai Baba – A Thought For The Day – January 20th 2010

Do not barter away the means of achieving permanent and complete happiness, deluded by attachment and attractions of temporal joy. You must carry on your spiritual duties with full devotion. The Divine cannot be known without faith and steadfastness (Shraddha). Only through Love (Prema) comes faith and dedication. Through faith and dedication comes wisdom (Jnana). Through wisdom, you get transcendental devotion to God. Only through such loving devotion, you will achieve union with God.

E.B. resident organizes large shipment to Haiti

EAST BRUNSWICK — As she watched TV newscasts showing the bodies of Haitian earthquake victims alongside the rubble of Port-au-Prince, Lucy Aita knew she had to do something.

Aita had lost her fiancé, Paul Innella, 33, of East Brunswick, in the Sept. 11, 2001, World Trade Center attacks, and she suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder triggered by the sight of collapsed buildings.

Aita decided she had to help the victims of this latest disaster, and through an e-mail chain she began coordinating donations of food, water, medical supplies and clothing for the earthquake victims. This resulted in a truckload of items picked up Monday by the Mercy Center, Asbury Park, which will have them shipped to Haiti.

According to Aita, at least 200 people responded with donations. While she thought she might collect 40-50 boxes of items, the number was in excess of 100 boxes and 50 garbage bags full of materials. These included 700 bottles of water, 400 cans of food, 10,000 items of clothing, shoes, towels and sheets, and medical supplies such as alcohol, bandages and antiseptics. There were so many items that Aita’s garage could not hold them all, so her neighbor, Anita Varshney, who also aided the effort, stored many in her garage.

Among the organizations donating were the Sri Sathya Sai Baba centers in Edison and East Brunswick. Venkat Kannepalli, who coordinated the donations for the Edison chapter of the spiritual organization, said his group collected 75 boxes of items, which took nine people to load for delivery to Aita’s house. All of the goods were collected within 18 hours of receiving the e-mail, he said. The organizer for the East Brunswick chapter, Ramesh Gulrajani, said donors went to Hamilton to buy toiletries for men and women and put them in ziplock bags. He said volunteers Rewo Nawani and Mia Matovic helped coordinate the donations.

Aita’s boyfriend, Charles Macagnone, is the grand knight of the St. Ambrose Knights of Columbus, Old Bridge, and his group collected 15 bags for the Haitian relief effort.

Soledad Marcelus of Asbury Park, whose family founded the Laurence Georgette Lizaire Foundation in memory of their grandmother, worked with the Mercy Center in the effort. Her grandmother, who died in 1997, was from Haiti and regularly sent supplies to her native country, according to Marcelus. After her death, her children and grandchildren formed the foundation to continue her legacy.

Marcelus said the group is working with Joint Base McGuire-Dix- Lakehurst to have the donations shipped.
