Chennai: Harlem Globetrotters will arrive in Chennai on Thursday night. The squad’s main programme commences only on Friday. Globetrotters’ Indian tour is organised by the SPORTZINDIA Management Pvt. Ltd.
The team members are visiting various places in the city before they leave for Bangalore, Hyderabad and Kochi. And then the team returns to Chennai to play at the Nehru stadium from November 18 to 20.
The team is also playing at Puttaparthy during Sree Sathya Sai Baba’s birthday celebrations on November 23.
The team: Willie Shaw, Kevin Daley, Lawrence Wright, Dwayne Simpson, Mike St. Julien (all forwards); Anthony Rice, Herbert Lang, Les Norman (all guards); Nate Lofton, Robert Turner (centres); Tour manager: Stuart Marc Sternberg; Trainer: Danny Edward Pickett; Referee: Barry Kent Terry; Chef de mission: Jeoff Munn.

It is an honour to announce that the famous basketball team from US, the Harlem GlobeTrotters have been invited to play the inaugural game at the Indoor Stadium at Puttaparthi. The game will be played on 23rd November, the Birthday of Swamiji.
During the Visit of the Advance Tour Ambassador, Mr. Sterling “Smooth” Forbes, he along with the representatives of SportzIndia, the promoters of the India Tour was granted interview and Swamiji interacted with them for over 45 minutes. Swamiji also gave vibhoothi to Sterling, Mr. R Anil Kumar, the Country Head of SportzIndia, CA. Ranjit Karthikeyan, the Financial Advisor of the India Tour, and Mr. Ajit Kuriakose Varghese, the Communications Director of SportzIndia.
